Laser Hair Removal
Our state-of-the-art Fotona Nd: Yag laser can remove unwanted hair from a variety of areas on the face and body and has several features that set it apart from other laser hair removal systems. Its long wavelength can penetrate to the bottom of hair follicles to stop blood flow and prohibit hair growth. The shorter wavelengths in other lasers can fail to penetrate deeply enough for effective treatment, and they are also more likely to cause skin reactions and other complications. The Fotona Nd: Yag laser is computer-guided for superior coverage and optimal control and safety. For most patients, a series of four to six treatments is typically necessary with the Fotona Nd: Yag laser. Anesthetics are not needed during laser hair removal and there is no downtime.

Laser Spider Vein Removal
The Fotona Nd: Yag laser removes spider veins by creating heat that is absorbed by the vein walls. This excess heat causes the vein wall to break down and the vein to disintegrate. The body will then clear away the remaining products the same way it would clear away a bruise. Many patients are happy with the appearance of their spider veins after just one session, but sometimes additional treatments may be necessary. The amount of time it takes for a spider vein to disappear following treatment varies from a few days to several months; however, once a spider vein is removed it should not reappear. Treatments with our Fotona Nd: Yag laser require no anesthetics and no downtime.

Laser Peel Resurfacing
The advantages of laser peel resurfacing are twofold. First, outer layers of damaged skin cells are removed, revealing the healthy, glowing skin underneath. Secondly, laser peel resurfacing stimulates the growth of collagen, the protein that is responsible for giving skin its elasticity and strength. Collagen plays an important role in reducing the signs of aging because strong, flexible skin is less likely to sag and wrinkle. Dr. Tim Kemp and staff offer both a light laser peel and a medium depth peel to repair damaged skin. Both procedures include an Oxy-mist treatment in order to provide intensive nourishment to skin following the peel. Laser peel resurfacing is effective, but it may take several weeks for the final results to be apparent. Patients interested in shorter healing periods may be good candidates for fractional laser skin resurfacing.

Laser Skin Tightening and Laser Collagen Remodeling
Our laser collagen remodeling treatments firm and tighten the skin as they stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a protein that plumps up the skin, keeping it firm and smooth. As we age, collagen production decreases and the skin begins to sag. Laser collagen remodeling brings collagen production back to the higher levels we had in our youth. The Fotona Nd: Yag laser system digitally maps out the treatment plan so that results are uniform. Please keep in mind that results may not be fully apparent for several months following the procedure, and several sessions may be needed to achieve and maintain the desired outcome. Patients may wish to combine laser collagen remodeling with microdermabrasion for an even greater aesthetic benefit.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing
In the past, patients receiving laser skin resurfacing had to wait longer for results to appear. Now, with the advent of the fractional laser, patients can receive superior results with minimal discomfort and downtime. The fractional laser delivers an array of narrow, focused microbeams to resurface the skin, resulting in new healthy tissue and deep collagen production. Fractional skin resurfacing is a safe and effective way to improve skin texture, hyper-pigmentation, and laxity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars. Lipodissolve™
Sometimes fat cells accumulate in the stomach, buttocks, thighs, and other areas of the body, and they do not respond to proper exercise and nutrition. Dr. Kemp and staff offer Lipodissolve™ injections to safely remove these unwanted fat deposits. Lipodissolve™ is a simple, safe, non-surgical product which is injected directly into the area of the body that needs treatment. The mixture causes fat deposits to break down and dissolve so that they can then be harmlessly dispelled from the body. Another benefit of Lipodissolve™ is that patients can return to their normal routines almost immediately following the procedure. Multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results. Results appear on average between four and six weeks after treatment. Please contact Laser Aesthetics for more information about the benefits of Lipodissolve™ or to arrange a free consultation.

BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic has been the most popular physician-administered cosmetic procedure in America since 2002, the year it received FDA approval to treat glabellar (frown) lines. Frown lines form between the brows and can give patients a sad, tired, confused, or even angry appearance. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles that cause frown lines to appear. The injections weaken the muscles so that they relax and frown lines recede. The procedure can be performed in 10 minutes, and discomfort is minimal and brief. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately following BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.

Dermal Fillers
We offer four dermal fillers at our practice, Restylane®, Juvérderm™, Radiesse® and Perlane®, that reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. Wrinkles that run from the nose to the mouth (nasolabial lines) and wrinkles that run from the mouth towards the chin (marionette lines) can respond particularly well to the effects of Restylane® or Juvérderm™. The injections contain a substance that is found naturally inside the body and acts as a magnet for water molecules. Once the injections are administered directly into lines and wrinkles, water molecules are drawn to the treatment area and hydrate, expand, and smooth the skin. Juvérderm™ is an injectable gel that is used to fill facial wrinkles and lips. Dr. Kemp and staff will gently inject dermal fillers under the skin of the treatment area. The injections help the skin achieve and maintain a healthy level of hydration. When the skin is fully hydrated, its volume and density are increased. This increase in volume helps smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm™ injections are uniquely formulated so that results are smooth and natural looking. Perlane® is similar to Restylane® but is used primarily to smooth larger folds of skin. Radiesse® is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, long lasting, youthful look. This convienient treatment can restore facial volume in cheeks as well as correct smile lines and Nasolabial Folds. Radiesse is made from tiny calcium-based microspheres that form a scaffold to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Results are immediate and Radiesse may last up to a year or more in most patients. You will notice improvement immediately after treatment with Radiesse®, Perlane®, Restylane® or Juvérderm™.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation treatment that can be performed on the face, chest, or back. A fine spray of microcrystals is used to remove dead, outer layers of skin and reveal younger, healthier layers underneath. Microdermabrasion treatments can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other imperfections while enhancing the youthful appearance and healthy, radiant glow of the skin. Each microdermabrasion procedure may be optimized with an Oxy-mist treatment or facial for additional hydration and healing.

Intense Pulsed Light Rejuvenation
Intense Pulsed Light™ (IPL®) rejuvenation is an effective treatment for most pigment and vascular lesions on the face, neck, and chest. Treatment is extremely safe and can be performed by our highly-trained staff in approximately 30 minutes. During the procedure, a beam of intense broad-spectrum light removes damaged skin cells from the dermis, the deepest layer of skin. The light beam also stimulates the production of collagen, the protein that’s responsible for helping skin maintain its youthful texture. IPL® can also treat rosacea, port wine stains, telangiectacia, and hemangiomas. Contact Laser Aesthetics today to learn how about IPL® treatment can help give you a clear, smooth complexion.
